Continued from yesterday....
"Oh no, no!" I assured her. "I catch the bus all the time, no worry!"
"Ah! Never mind you! Get in!" She waved me toward her car. Not wanting to be rude, I got in and belted up.
"I never knew you caught bus all the time; where you live?" She asked.
"On Independence street," I told her. "The bus drops me off on Dillingham on Kalihi street, and I walk three blocks down,"
"That's all the way down Nimitz, by the warehouse district side?" She asked.
"Yeah, right there," I confirmed.
"Well, if I pau work and I see you at the bus stop, I can give you a ride," she insisted. "I live by Kam Shopping Center, so it's not a problem,"
"Well, okay, but you don't have to do it all the time; I don't want to take advantage or expect it, you know?"
"If can, can," she laughed. "I'm hungry right now, though; you not hungry?"
"Yeah, I guess so," I laughed back.
"We go eat at Kenny's!"
