Wedding days are always filled with tension, panic, and pressure, just like at a funeral.
The couple in question met two years earlier while on separate hikes, leading to an old heiau of human sacrifice. There, they consummated their relationship and became the bane of everyone's existence. The two were selfish, overbearing, and rude. Not even their parents or family wanted to attend their services, which they insisted take place on the very heiau where they met. Only those who worked in the couple's office attended on that particular day. Right as the ceremony began, the skies went black. The clouds literally rolled in from offshore and hovered over the gathering. The second the officiant started talking, the black clouds poured thunderous sheets of rain on the assembly, causing everyone to scatter. The couple was the last to make it for cover, but they literally did not make it. A bolt of lightning crackled down with such a loud clap that it froze the couple in their steps, and the two were thus split in half by a searing bolt of lightning. It turns out that the heiau where the couple first met and consummated their relationship, was dedicated to Kānehekili, the god of lightning and thunder.17A Productions Presents
