"I wasn't certain myself," Boy said while holding the office door open for Rita, Tiny, and Ivan. Everyone took their seats and prepared for the briefing. Just then, Tabby walked in and took a seat at the table.
"So, the spirit of Jack The Ripper? Here? In this day and age in Hawai'i?" Tabby asked. "What are the chances? We've kept vampires away, as well as all kinds of other things? But Jack The Ripper? That's insidious."
"You are not a part of this case; excuse yourself and go home," Boy demanded.
"Hanson, she's part of the office; you can't just kick her off of a case," Aunty Rita came to Tabby's rescue. "She's an adult; she free to make her own decisions."
"Alright," Boy agreed and turned to his daughter. "Tell me that you're not going to use your body to lure out the spirit of Jack The Ripper, and you can be a part of this case. In fact, I'll let you lead the case. How's that?"
No reply from Tabby, just an intense stare in return. "Tabby is the one with experience in cases like this," Ivan tried to reason with his nephew.
"It's the only way we can draw him out," Tiny agreed.
"No," Boy shook his head. "Get the Rizal brothers here right away. I need to talk with them. I'll find Roof." Boy said as he got up to leave the office. He paused, and turned back to Tabby, and knelt down in front of her. "I lost my father in one night; he died right in front of me. And then my mother, not too long after that. I cannot lose you either, Tabby, do you understand?"
"But this isn't about you Dad, it's about stopping this killer once and for all, and I'm the one who can do it!" Tabby pleaded.
"It's not about you either, if I can help it," Boy replied and walked out the door.
Tabby didn't even have a chance to plead her case when Kealoha walked in. "I'm to keep an eye on you, I'm sorry, but I can't disobey the boss."
"We'll figure something out," Rita gave Tabby a hug. Ivan and Tiny agreed. "We'll definitely figure it out."
